ABOUT CONOR TICKNER
Having obtained his degree at the University of Southampton’s Institute of Sound and Vibration Research, Conor has a strong academic background in acoustics. Joining AECOM in 2014, Conor was involved in a number of high profile and specialist projects before joining Hayes McKenzie in 2023, where he has continued to expand his experience.He has expanded his external profile with committee memberships for both the IOA and ANC, and has obtained Corporate Membership of the IOA.Conor has developed substantial expertise in the assessment industrial and commercial sound using BS 4142, co-authoring the ANC Technical Note on its use. He also has experience in SoundPLAN acoustic modelling software, as well as in a wide range of environmental noise assessments. In addition to his experience in the assessment of industrial and commercial sound, he has substantial further experience in the measurement, analysis, and assessment of sound and vibration in relation to construction, highways, power transmission, wind turbines, oil & gas, minerals, and railways.
