ABOUT CONOR OSULLIVAN

I am a Sports Journalist specialising in football, MMA, boxing, and basketball. Working for LowKick MMA, I cover the latest fights, breaking news, and changes in the world of mixed martial arts. I have two years of professional experience as a Sports Reporter working at ALF Insight. In this position, I researched and reported on the creation, extension, and termination of UK sports partnerships. I was responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of the partnerships of UK sports clubs, leagues, and governing bodies in our database daily. I have a rich knowledge of a variety of sports, including football, MMA, boxing, and basketball. My informative writing style, paired with my endless interest in the world of sports, gives me much to offer the sports industry. Despite studying ancient history at the University of Bristol, I realised that it was sports that I wished to pursue a career in. For my dissertation, I produced an investigation into the differing attitudes towards cheating in both the ancient and modern Olympic Games, achieving a high 2:1 grade. During my time at Bristol, I wrote several sports articles for the university newspaper, The Epigram. As a university-focused paper, these articles focused on sports for university students and how staying fit during lockdown could provide a competitive advantage when sports return. I also became an Editor for the Classics and Ancient History Student Journal. My role was to review the articles submitted by fellow students and assess whether they met our journal\'s high standards. I provided constructive feedback to enhance the quality of submissions. Additionally, I proofread articles to ensure they were publication-ready. Since graduating, I have progressed my own sports blog, ‘The Sports Verdict,’ seeking to further enhance my writing skills.
