Senior Trust & Safety specialist with a background in UK policing and operational leadership, focused on building scalable moderation and risk management systems for global platforms.I spent over a decade in frontline public safety, including serving as a Police Sergeant leading response teams and managing high-risk investigations. That experience built a foundation in structured threat assessment, safeguarding, critical incident management, and defensible decision-making under pressure.Today, I apply those same principles to platform safety at scale.My work centres on operational design: building enforcement frameworks, integrating policy into frontline tooling, improving moderator decision quality, and partnering with Product and Engineering to ensure safety controls are embedded directly into systems rather than layered on afterwards.Recent work includes:• Designing and delivering a global moderator training programme• Building a scalable enforcement model used across Trust & Safety operations• Leading complex, high-risk investigations and cross-functional escalations• Supporting AI-assisted moderation workflows to reduce decision friction while maintaining accuracyI’m particularly interested in the intersection of human judgement and AI tooling, and how moderation systems can be structured to remain consistent, measurable, and operationally sustainable as platforms scale.Alongside my Trust & Safety work, I’m also the author of *The Police Exit Manual*, a practical guide for UK police officers navigating the transition into the private sector, built around the lessons and structural realities I encountered during my own move beyond policing.
