I was selected to be a fellow and mentee for this network of both senior and early-career journalists, following a successful application video. I have had several incredible opportunities, including attending a number of exclusive masterclasses and networking events with journalists who are high performers in their field of creative work. As a mentee - I was matched with senior LGBT+ identity reporter Josh Parry from the BBC, who has been instrumental to my career development.This scheme has also supported me with my own personal networking - including helping me fund travel to the UK, so that I can continue developing my career outside of my Guernsey base.
