ABOUT CONNOR SWEENEY
Third-Year Electronic and Software Engineering student at the University of Glasgow with a strong passion for both software development and electronics. My academic background and hands-on experience include programming in Python, C, Java, JavaScript, and SQL, as well as designing and building embedded systems using microcontrollers, sensors, and LCDs.I have completed a range of personal and academic projects — from creating a heart rate monitor using op-amp configurations and signal amplification, to full-stack code development and basic web development towards a Django-based WebApp. These experiences have strengthened my analytical thinking, debugging skills, and enthusiasm for solving real-world problems through code and circuitry.Outside academics, I’ve developed leadership, communication, and project management skills through roles as a STEM Ambassador, Digital Leader, and participant in the Mark Scott Leadership for Life Award while attending Secondary School. I also work part-time in the hospitality and customer service industry on behalf of professional gambling establishment, Admiral Slots, where I’ve honed my interpersonal, organisational, and multitasking abilities.I’m currently seeking part-time placements, internships, or collaborative opportunities where I can apply my growing technical skillset, contribute to innovative projects, and continue learning in a professional setting alongside my studies.
