About Connor Boswell

My name is Connor Boswell and I am a current undergraduate student at the University of Georgia from Newnan, Georgia. From a young age, my heart truly went out to those suffering from various medical conditions, as I was often in hospitals with my younger brother who has had multiple surgeries. In my sophomore year of high school, I decided to commit to my endeavor of becoming a future physician. My dream is to become a physician, however, others have varying dreams that different medical conditions can block, and I want to one day play a critical part in helping others achieve their dreams.

   Chemistry is often one of the most daunting subjects for pre-medical students to grasp throughout their college career. However, it is a subject that, when grasped, can help explain many of the principles that govern the world we live in. It is my job as a tutor to not simply make the students memorize concepts, but rather understand them. Memorizing can only get you so far, however, understanding the why behind the concept is much more meaningful. I tutor once a week for 3 hours in group office hours that can reach sizes of up to 20 people. I have developed skills not only in communication, but critical thinking skills that allow me to portray concepts in different ways that make sense to each individual student.
