Engage strategically with regulators, key lawmakers, and other state insurance department staff at regional industry events to build critical working relationships and engage with the same on Verisk’s strategic objectives. Serve as a front-line resource for insurance regulators on Verisk’s suite of products. Translate often dense/complex legal changes impacting Verisk into digestible, business-useful memorandum and routing internally to the correct audience. Provide tracking and real-time updates of the same to deliver on the full lifecycle of regulatory change management. Advise on political risk by monitoring and reporting on state elections, key legislative committee assignments, and insurance department personnel changes. Filings Compliance – Product speed-to-market Maintain robust compliance documentation for both Verisk’s insurance carrier customers and Government Relations’ internal filings team. Strategize and execute on timing, content, and mechanics (e.g, file and use vs. prior approval) for all Verisk product filings, including loss costs, forms, rules, and any material required for advisory organization licensing and statistical reporting. Coordinate with product compliance, actuarial, and legal to draft and submit effective responses to department filing objections.
