These transitions can surface a natural friction between how a company was built and what new ownership expects — speed, structure, and scale. Helping teams bridge that space — the Founder-to-Sponsor Gap — has become the center of my work: aligning leadership, tightening execution, and building systems that can perform at sponsor speed without losing founder heart.My background spans operating, advising, and board leadership. I’ve held nearly every C-level role, including multiple CEO positions. Earlier in my career, I served as an Army officer — an experience that shaped how I lead: with clarity, urgency, accountability, and a belief that every person on the team makes a difference.Across dozens of companies and industries, I’ve seen the same patterns: competing priorities, slow decisions, unclear ownership. But I’ve also seen how quickly teams can realign and accelerate once clarity and trust are restored.Today, I serve as CEO of Pacific Yurts, a category-defining outdoor lodging manufacturer, and as Managing Director at Crown Capital, where I help scale lower-middle-market businesses. In both roles, I focus on what matters most — aligning people, clarifying priorities, and driving disciplined execution that moves companies forward.
