About Connie Wang
Born and raised in San Francisco, I graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in Architecture and a minor in Sustainable Design. I’m now a Project Engineer assisting the Preconstruction team at Hathaway Dinwiddie Construction, where I support the early phase project planning, from estimating and BIM quantity takeoffs. I enjoy being in the part of the process where design intent becomes cost, scope, and constructibility decisions.I am detail-oriented and passionate about designing intentional and functional urban spaces with a focus on innovative and sustainable solutions. Through previous roles at Skanska and Rubicon Point Partners, I built a practical understanding of construction management and mixed-use development. These experiences has given me the opportunity to practice resourcefulness and problem-solving in fast-paced environments, while observing how architecture, planning, resource management, and engineering intersect.I am currently pursuing sustainability certifications (LEED GA, WELL AP, and LEED AP). I’m excited to keep growing in roles that bridge both design and construction, where I can leverage BIM, data, and preconstruction strategy to help influence better-performing, more human-centered buildings from day one.Always open to connecting about the construction industry, sustainability, architecture, and much more.
Experience
Project Engineer
Aug 2025 — Present · San Francisco, CA, US
As a Project Engineer currently supporting the Preconstruction team, I assist with early-phase project planning, including conceptual estimating, BIM-based quantity takeoffs, value engineering studies, and subcontractor outreach. I review drawings, specs, and project documentation to understand scope/cost/schedule impacts, prepare precon deliverables and proposal collateral, and help develop study models, logistics diagrams, and sequencing visuals. I also support research on systems, materials, and constructibility approaches to improve performance and mitigate risk prior to construction.
