Manage Risk and Controls and ensuring Treasury is within regulatory compliance amongst the various Treasury Leadership Management and their respective Teams (Investments & Funding; Liquidity; Asset & Liability and Balance Sheet Management; Treasury Finance & Business Management; Quantitative Modeling; and Capital/Resolution Planning Teams)• Responsible for leading the Risk and Controls Team: Assigning tasks to members as appropriate and ensuring progress on-going basis. • Issues Manager for all issues (Regulator, Audit, Self-Identified, etc.) owned by Treasury and ensuring tracking and remediation of all open issues.• Responsible for coordinating and supporting the various Risk Governance Assessment Cycles and Deliverables (e.g. Risk Appetite Statement, Risk Identification Assessment, Strategic Risk Assessment, Risk & Control Self-Assessment and Risk Governance Assessment).• Act as Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO) Secretary - Responsible for carrying out all Secretary tasks as well as updating ALCO Charter (including scope, participants, voting members depending on governance structure and preparing and packaging ALCO materials).• Governance/Committee Forum Management - Coordinate with stakeholders and ensuring all tasks are carried properly for each meeting (i.e. agenda topics; collecting materials; coordinating and setting up meetings, etc.). • Received 2023 MUFG Excellence Award on Restructure for Efficiency - Along with the separation from Union Bank, N.A.(acquired from U.S. Bank), there were major Committee and governance structure changes made in FY 2022. One of the important initiatives around MUBK Treasury was to re-form the Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO) which is one of the Tier 1 Committees (right under Board of Directors / ECA). I was able to step up to assume the ALCO Secretary role, and effectively contribute to a major part of the ALCO re-form.
