ABOUT CONNIE COSTA

A health and safety professional with 25+ years of experience in planning, organizing, staffing, directing and communicating a comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety System. Experience ranges; first in roofing and chemical manufacturing, then food and beverage industry and now with Workplace Safety & Prevention Services (WSPS) formerly OSSA. Connie has held roles as a Service Delivery Manager, Training Manager, and most recently as a Senior Account Manager at WSPS. Previously held corporate management positions responsible for Environment, Security and Health and Safety. Provides leadership and guidance to her customers at executive and senior levels at large and national companies in the pursuit of achieving an integrated H&S system, with the goal of growing their businesses and eliminating workplace injuries and illnesses. Connie was on the WSIB review sub-committee that developed the Risk Management Tool for Ontario employers and was called upon as a subject matter expert for the review of the new certification training and H&S manual development at WSPS. Connie brings with her a Health and Safety Certificate from Ryerson University and a CRSP designation. She is also a member of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering.
