ABOUT CONNER KOZISEK
I am Program Counsel at Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and first joined Chicago Lawyers’ Committee in September 2023 as an Equal Justice Works Fellow. In May 2023, I graduated from New York University School of Law. During law school, I worked on voting rights and election administration issues through internships with the Brennan Center for Justice, the national Lawyers\' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, and Fair Elections Center. I also was a judicial intern for Judge Tanya S. Chutkan in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and I spent my final year at NYU Law as an extern with the Civil Federal Legal Services Clinic, where I provided limited scope legal assistance to self-represented (pro se) litigants in the Southern District of New York. Before law school, I worked as a staffer at the Nebraska Unicameral Legislature, engaging with a broad range of state legislative policy issues. In 2018, I graduated Phi Beta Kappa and earned a BA with Highest Distinction and University Honors from the University of Nebraska. In my free time, I enjoy watching and discussing films, reading whatever I can get my hands on, and trying out new restaurants.
