Contribute to addressing the impact of work on health and of health on work to ensure and facilitate the prevention of accidents and promotion of health and safety.2. Preparing and reviewing RAMS, COSHH assessment, etc for the services and contractor3. Reviewing, recording and investigating incidents and RIDDOR if necessary 4. Carry out site visit, and work place/lone working assessment 5. Prepare Safety alerts for the services6. Attending relevant health and safety meetings7. Carrying out manual handling assessment 8. Involving in training and induction of staff.9. Support the Health and Safety Manager and ensure that the Council’s service provision conforms to recognised Health & Safety good practice guidance.10. Take a lead and/or team role in the monitoring, reporting and reviewing of Health and Safety related issues within the Council 11. Ensuring that key stakeholders are advised on levels of compliance with statutory requirements reporting this to the appropriate bodies / council committees.12. Proactively contribute to the ongoing review and development of the Council’s Health & Safety procedures.13. Implement a programme of working that provides Health & Safety advice, solutions, and coaching to Managers / officers within the Council14. Support the performance of the Health and Safety Team through a culture of team work and flexibility, contributing to the overall success of the Council.
