About Vi Nguyen

I am a data scientist. I have a master\'s degree in computer science with a specialization in artificial intelligence from DePaul University, where I learned and applied various machine learning algorithms, deep neural networks, recurrent neural networks, and natural language processing techniques to solve complex problems and create innovative solutions.I have industry experience with health technology where I build and maintaining machine learning models. Delivering descriptive analytics and making product recommendations from data science solutions, as well as creating and telling data stories to stakeholders to inform decision making and drive the business forward and helping patients.I have also won first place in an IBM-Z HACK4SPACE Hackathon and ranked second in a Kaggle competition, where I was able to build winning solutions in a fast-paced environment and share my processes and findings with a larger technical and non-technical audience.I am proficient in Python, SQL, R, JavaScript, Java, and C, and I have experience with data retrieval and analysis of large complex datasets. I am motivated by using data and machine learning to make a positive difference in the world.
