About Prabir Sengupta
43 years of my career include serving as a combat infantry officer in the Indian Army 25 glorious years as a military personnel include leading soldiers to battle as Commanding Officer which culminated into being awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal(VSM) for leadership by the then President of India, Smt.Prathiba Patil.Currently, engaged as Group CEO at IIT Guwahati for IITG Research Park Foundation, IITG Technology Innovation Foundation and IITG Manekshaw Centre for Defence. I would be singularly responsible for the growth and development of these three Foundations; while I also conduct motivational sessions on attitudinal realignment especially amongst the YOUth.I am often approached by the Army Formations across the country to deliver sessions on national and international geo-strategic engagements.My transition to the corporate sector and donning leadership roles 18 years ago, led me to dive into the booming technology and manufacturing sectors in Hyderabad and Kolkata. A passion to mentor the YOUth, led me to impart motivational knowledge and conduct self defence workshops on women safety. I also engaged with corporate houses while holding workshops on leadership and team building. I am proud to be a TEDx and JOSH series speaker. Beyond the professional domain, I don the hat of an amateur golfer and avid cyclist. When I am not outdoors, I enjoy reading Malcom Gladwell, Simon Sinek, Tim Harford, Gurcharan Das and Bill Bryson.
