How I made 47 placements in 9 months in one of the most difficult job markets we’ve ever seen… It was January 2021, I registered one role with a high-growth eCommerce business in what we expected to be a slow and nervy start to the year. I didn’t expect that placement to take me on a journey fully supporting them on their recruitment and growth plan leading to 47 placements in 9 months, helping them achieve their most successful year in business and causing huge disruption in their industry.The first role we took on needed our support because of a nasty combination of staff retention and HR not having the time to recruit for that role. They spent so much time trying to fill it they were neglecting their day-to-day and other roles. None of their previous methods were working…Historic agencies weren’t performingJob boards didn’t give them the candidates they needed Usual methods of employing friends/family of current staff weren’t workingWe took on their first requirement of the year and showed just how well we understood their needs, the type of character that fits in with their culture, and how quickly we move! We filled the vacancy in days. They were so impressed they decided to give us more. By the end of February, we had placed 11 members of the team across customer services, administration, and analytics, completely wiping out all their tricky to fill roles which took time away from HR and Line Managers, giving them their time and freedom back.We quickly won the respect of the Directors and HR Team and built a strong partnership with them. Where are we now?47 placements down the line and their preferred supplier, the company achieved a 2-year growth plan in 9 months and we are talking about the recruitment plan behind their new growth strategy and approximately 40 to 50 new roles across the business.
