About Collin P. Wheeler
I’m a lifelong learner at the intersection of business and engineering. As an engineering leader at an ENR Top 10 Global Design Firm, I strive to win work, continuously improve the way we do work, grow engineering teams and their capabilities, and inspire others to elevate the profession. Learning and curiosity are at the heart of that. Here’s one of my core beliefs (from Charlie Munger):“If you don’t learn how to think, you’ll go through life as a one-legged man in an ass-kicking competition.”I’ve always strived to not be one-legged. I’ve done this through multidisciplinary learning, connecting and compounding knowledge from all over. I meet, read, listen, study, and do. And I try to share what I’ve learned with others. One way I do that is through Engineering Echelons (notes.engineeringechelons.com), a free weekly newsletter that distills the best of what I’ve learned/am learning about how the worlds of business and engineering overlap. It’s something that is dynamic and undertaught; I’m trying to make it less opaque and better practiced.Want to know more? Scroll down, head to my website (collinpwheeler.com), or send me a message.
