Driving operational excellence within Lockheed Martin’s UK Space business, supporting strategic growth and delivery across defence, civil, and commercial space programmes- Lead on business operations strategy, supporting cross-functional integration between capture teams, programme leads, and engineering functions, aligned with Lockheed Martin’s UK space objectives and sovereign launch ambitions- Manage an operational budget of over covering internal planning, outreach delivery, conference participation, and stakeholder engagement – ensuring cost control and measurable returns on investment- Act as secretariat for internal governance boards, preparing reporting packs, senior leadership dashboards, KPI frameworks, and supporting decision-making cadence- Own the development of internal business cases and proposals, integrating risk registers, ROI analysis, and alignment with UK space and defence strategy- Oversee site operations at Harwell, including emergency planning, Environmental Safety & Health (ESH) compliance, and space allocation – ensuring operational resilience and business continuity- Coordinate delivery of events and industry engagement, from national exhibitions and senior visits to STEM outreach, reinforcing Lockheed Martin’s brand and value across the space ecosystem- Collaborate with legal, commercial, and engineering teams to ensure governance compliance, contractual accuracy, and brand standards across all programme touchpoints- Introduce and monitor KPIs to measure operational performance, facilitate knowledge transfer, and enable scalable improvements across the business- Represent the business externally, attending key UK space events and facilitating relationships with industry stakeholders, partners, and policymakers.
