Reporting to the President, the COO leads Operations and Human Resource functions for a groundbreaking, Native woman led, racial and social justice organization dedicated to increasing the visibility of—and challenging the narrative about—Native peoples. The COO is a member of the Ecosystem Management Team (EMT) which provides oversight of the IllumiNative ecosystem, including the 501c3 and for-profit arm. EMT sets the goals, initiatives, and culture for the ecosystem. Provide day-to-day oversight and management of all human resource functions for 29 full-time employees across 15 states. Provide day-to-day oversight and management of operations functions. • Manage legal and compliance initiatives. Responsible for full management of the organization’s transition from fiscal sponsorship to an independent 501c3.
