Responsible for a wide range of career and professional development initiatives for research degree (PhD, MS) students and postdoctoral scholars, including future faculty preparation, exploration of careers beyond academia, and development of transferrable skills. Coordinating Cornell Graduate School participation in a broader campus career network. Co-principal investigator on an NSF Alliances for Graduate Education and the Professoriate project to study and improve campus climate for graduate students from historically underrepresented and marginalized populations, and enhance their preparation for faculty careers. Founding director of a campus-wide future faculty preparation initiative with ten years of accumulated experience building and growing its efforts and partnerships. Cornell University co-lead for participation in the Equity in Graduate Education project and the North American Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning Network (which seeks to enhance undergraduate education through professional development of graduate students and postdocs for the changing climate of higher education.) Twenty years of increasingly responsible positions in higher education, public outreach, administration, and managing projects and people. Frequently requested as a presenter on research mentorship and communicating about research to the public.
