About Colleen Temple
I am a recent graduate of Howard University with a Bachelor of Environmental Studies and a minor in Political Science. Recognized with the O.W. Dillon Preservation Black History Award and as a two-time MEAC All-Academic athlete, I bring discipline, analytical skill, and a strong commitment to public service.My experience spans public policy research, government relations, and community development. At the National Basketball Players Association Foundation, I supported grantmaking and research initiatives, developing strategic proposals for community-based programs and improving grant tracking through Salesforce. In the U.S. House of Representatives, I conducted legislative research, drafted policy memos, and assisted with constituent outreach on social and education issues.I also have a background in grassroots organizing and civic engagement through my work with the Human Rights Campaign, where I led voter outreach and advocacy efforts across the Washington, D.C. region.I am passionate about using research and policy analysis to advance equitable and sustainable solutions.
