ABOUT COLLEEN CLAYTON
Colleen Clayton is a current Master’s Student at the University of Washington, studying Urban Design and Planning with Certificates in Housing and Historic Preservation. Additionally, she is a licensed real estate agent with COMPASS, and a graduate intern at Seattle Public Utilities on the Capital Projects Community Outreach team. Her background in Hospitality Management and innate understanding of high-touch, communication-forward service informs the care and attention she brings to working with predominantly first-time homebuyer clients. This passion for advocacy, education, and empowerment, paired with a vision for more equitable, sustainable, diverse, and community-oriented housing choices catalyzed in a decision to return to school. Colleen will graduate in June 2025, and looks forward to engaging in impact-driven work in affordable housing development and/or advocacy, ideally with a focus on sustainability and adaptive reuse. In addition to furthering her education, Colleen’s proudest professional achievement of late was the conversion of an old outbuilding in her backyard into an affordable studio apartment for rent.
