I am a Data Analyst and Power BI Developer with over a decade of experience in financial services and eight years of specialised focus in data analytics and business intelligence. My core technical stack includes Power BI (including Deneb, Tabular Editor, TMDL, DAX and Power Automate), Microsoft Fabric, Python, SQL, SAS, Excel and Tableau, skills I have applied across my career to transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making at a senior level. Throughout my career I have led end-to-end analytics delivery: from requirements gathering and stakeholder alignment through to dashboard design, deployment via Power BI Service and post-deployment feedback frameworks. I have a strong track record of applying user-centred design principles, Agile methodology and visual best practices (Gestalt principles, pre-attentive attributes) to build reporting solutions that are both technically robust and genuinely usable. Currently at Northern Ireland Water, I lead the performance reporting portfolio across water, wastewater, energy, engineering, innovation and health and safety domains. I tutor graduate cohorts through Microsoft PL-300 certification, deliver advanced Power BI training to the wider team and keep colleagues informed of the latest AI developments and best practices.
