ABOUT COLIN KALTENECKER

I am a Guy who believes in developing not just athletes, but also leaders. For me, coaching and teaching are about more than just performance; they’re about purpose, growth, and building character.Over the past 13 years, I’ve coached high school football with a focus on mentorship, teamwork, and personal responsibility. My classroom and teams are built on the same foundation: positivity, structure, and genuine connection. Whether I’m leading a practice, organizing an athletic program, or running a PE class, my main goal is clear: to help young people believe in themselves and develop habits that will last long after the game is over.Faith plays a central role in my work. As a Catholic educator, I aim to model gratitude, resilience, and compassion. I bring energy and authenticity to every environment, blending modern coaching techniques with time-tested principles, such as E+R=O (Event plus Response equals Outcome), Facta Non Verba (Deeds, not Words), Be Your Brother’s Keeper, and Amor Fati (Love of Fate).Currently, I serve as the Athletic Director and PE Teacher at St. Rose of Lima School in Simi Valley, California. In this role, I oversee athletic programming, develop coaching staff, and foster a culture rooted in faith, excellence, and fun.My long-term goal is to transition into college football coaching, continuing my mission to mentor and support young men through the game that has given me so much.In my view, great leaders don’t just coach the sport; they coach the soul.
