For as long as I can remember I have been a computer geek - and have been passionate about my craft since I started coding as a teenager on a 486 DX/2 in the mid-90s. Fast-forward to the present day and I am now a Senior Technologist with over 20 years experience designing and developing innovative, scalable, high availability solutions using a variety of platforms and technologies for the Financial Services industry.I am motivated by finding elegant solutions to complex high-value problems and making a big impact on the organisation\'s technical strategy & business outcomes.I\'m an architect - but I still commit code every day. In the last 12 months this has been a mix of Angular, NodeJS, Java & Python. I have long been a proponent of the theory that the best architects are the ones that could actually build their designs and for that reason you are far more likely to find an IDE open on my machine than you are to find PowerPoint.Currently I am the Head of Architecture & Engineering for JPMorgan\'s International Private Bank where I am building a team of the brightest architects & engineers to focus on a number of areas such as- Business & Enterprise Architecture- Technical Strategy, Platforms & Cloud- Client Facing Digital Channels- Engineering Patterns & Practices
