Work with a team of over 25 members to develop the aerodynamics package for the Terps Racing Formula IC car.• Utilize SolidWorks and Star CCM+ to design and simulate aerodynamic surfaces for the current car.• Apply complex CAD skills to create the organic curves required for racecar aerodynamic surfaces.• Design formula car side pods to allow for increased airflow to the radiator while reducing the induced drag of the side pods.• Qualitatively and quantitatively analyze the resulting images and data produced from running CFD simulations on half-car models.• Write up and execute detailed test plans for validating CFD simulations with real-world and wind tunnel data.
