ABOUT COLIN WILLEY

Project Manager / Business Consultant with a demonstrated history of working in the Defense & Space industry. Skilled in Requirements Analysis, Systems Engineering, ClearCase, Software Development, and Testing. Strong business development professional with a Mini Master of Business Administration (MBA) focused in Business/Commerce, from McGill University. I am an energetic leader with extensive experience in engineering, new business capture and program management that communicates clearly, inspires others and thinks conceptually. I have been an Engineering Manager on major Capital projects, standalone projects, In-Service Support Projects, and in R&D ventures. My focus during the past two years has been on Business Development, leading the capture of major programs, strategy development and technology adoption to meet the needs of new markets.I always see the “big picture” behind a problem that enables me to focus on the underlying, more complex issues that comes from intellectual complexity and a natural curiosity for knowledge. I have a strong technical background in system engineering and I like to use my skills in a team environment focused on meeting diverse and challenging goals. I have a proven capability to lead teams in constrained, high-stress environments.I possess natural charisma in social situations and I am at my best in front of a crowd, making a lasting impression, and inspiring confidence.My life is not all practicality and business as I take a keen interest in staying culturally informed. Outside of business I go out of my way to participate in music events, artistic showings and lectures.
