A seasoned leader with a deep understanding of the audit and risk landscape, Colin has played a pivotal role in shaping Ideagen’s approach to supporting both internal and external audit functions, as well as enterprise risk management, across a wide range of industries and geographies.Based in South West Scotland, Colin has been instrumental in building long-term partnerships with organisations around the world, helping them modernise their audit and risk capabilities through technology-driven solutions. His leadership has been central to Ideagen’s success in delivering scalable, compliant, and future-ready platforms that meet the evolving needs of audit professionals.Within the internal audit domain, Colin has led initiatives across sectors including commercial and central banking, central and local government, and broader public and private sector organisations.Colin also brings extensive experience in external audit, having worked for many years within Big 4 firms. During this time, he has consulted on and led major global technology rollouts, helping top-tier and mid-tier firms enhance audit quality, efficiency, and client service. His insights into the operational and strategic challenges facing audit practices have informed Ideagen’s product development and client engagement strategies, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory expectations.With a career built around innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence, Colin continues to drive Ideagen’s mission to empower audit and risk professionals with the tools, insights, and confidence to deliver value in an increasingly complex world.Outside of all this, Colin lives in the Ayrshire countryside in South West Scotland with his wife, 2 sons and a black cockapoo called Baxter. Colin’s big love is music, and has been optimistically attempting to mastering guitar for almost 40 years.
