About Colin Schless
I enjoy engaging stakeholders to move ambitious decarbonization efforts forward and have a passion for driving teams to solve complex engineering challenges. Environmental sustainability is inseparable from financial sustainability- aligning these motivations is imperative to the successful pursuit of big climate goals. I’ve had the privilege of helping lead a number of decarbonization firsts- New York City’s first all-electric skyscraper (100 Flatbush), the US’s first large-scale cold-climate passive house (Village Centre), and most recently the world’s first all-electric automotive factory (Rivian, Atlanta GA). I co-authored Boston’s Carbon-Neutral Zoning legislation, Boston’s Net-Zero housing policy, and the City of Somerville’s Net-Zero building codes, together helping ensure a Net-Zero future for new construction in the greater Boston area. Driving big climate initiatives requires strong leadership, thoughtful engineering, bountiful optimism, and cross-functional collaboration. I am a strong believer that a Net-Zero future is attainable and work daily to help make this idea a reality.
