ABOUT COLIN KYTCHAK
As a Safety Professional at JHU APL, I implement industry leading occupational health and safety practices. I collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. I also conduct site inspections, audits, and trainings, and provide recommendations and solutions for safety improvement.My passion for safety stems from my six years of service in the United States Army National Guard Infantry, where I learned the importance of team values, adaptive leadership, and risk management. I earned a B.S. in Biology - Environmental Health and a M.S. in Safety Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where I developed critical thinking and decision making skills, and conducted environmental research. I have multiple certifications, awards, and honors that demonstrate my commitment and excellence in the field of safety. My goal is to continue to grow and contribute to the safety culture and performance of JHU APL.
