About Colin Gordon

I am proud to work in one of the most technologically varied marketplaces for any communications and cybersecurity professional - critical infrastructure! There are not many industries where one can go from working with legacy 1200-baud Bell modems using bit-based protocols in the morning, to designing teleprotection networks using bleeding-edge Software-Defined Networking concepts in an afternoon. It\'s incredibly fun to be a valued member of SEL, where YoY growth for communications and cybersecurity systems and solutions has exploded, along with our ability to innovate and design. As a member of a Wired Communications within SEL, I have the privilege of getting to wear many hats and acting in many roles, including Product Manager, R&D Engineer, S & CS Support Technician, and Field Application Engineer wearing flame-resistant clothing while working in substations all over North America.
