Establish key objectives and oversee all aspects of data operations, data services, data engineering, data integrations, database support, and automated services, including developing the data technology roadmap for a retail organization that provides more than products to over 40 million customers on-line and in 1,200+ stores nationwide. • Lead Data Service teams responsible for data systems that support Point of Sale, Warehouse Management, Corporate ERP, Reporting, and Analytics. Teams consist of DBAs that support over 80 database systems and ETL data engineers that are responsible for enterprise data integrations that support operations and reporting services • Restructured DBA team to have team members responsible for all database types (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, MySQL, etc.) instead of single discipline DBA • Worked with the ETL team to improve data quality monitoring for crucial data sets • Implemented Project Priority planning meeting across IT and business units for ETL development resources • Negotiated with IT and Business partners for the seamless upgrade of enterprise integration software • Spearheaded IT team that delivered vital metric data for store scheduling effectiveness analytics • Led Proof of Concepts for the future state of data integration servers and data warehouse/data lake • Worked with business partners in Marketing, Finance, Inventory, and other departments to deliver data solutions and application improvements. This included reducing the monthly financial close process from an all-day process to less than an hour • Implemented Project / Task SaaS solution that went on to be adopted by all of IT
