ABOUT COLIN CAPNER
A highly experienced veterinary surgeon with additional interests in veterinary health economics, pharmacology and anaesthesia. I have worked in first opinion and referral medicine (as a veterinary anaesthetist) as well as taught pharmacology/anaesthesia in British Universities. I have substantial research experience having managed a research team as well as planning, conducting and reporting a range of different research studies using quantitative and qualitative methods. I am developing my interests in veterinary health economics particularly attribution of value in clinical settings.I have experience of working on non-veterinary projects such as in public health and regularly review study proposals for the National Institute of Health Research. I am a member of a mortality review board.My hobbies include contributions towards work for charities and I also enjoy exercise and particularly obstacle course racing.
