Develop, implement and evaluate territory sales strategies, plans and programs consistent with the district and sales group plans in collaboration with the District Sales Manager.• Make recommendations about the territory distribution mix allowing for optimal penetration of the territory market; thereby, assuring GP optimal profitability while providing customers with the best possible service at the lowest possible costs.• Develop, negotiate and execute distributor action plans with key distributors.• Acquire and maintain expertise on all products and their end-use applications; demonstrate the ability to emphasize features, advantages and benefits of GP products, and overcome perceived objections.• Acquire knowledge of competitive offerings, especially as they relate to GP products, and exhibit the ability to persuade customers and prospects to purchase GP Products.• Recommend, implement and monitor contractual and other long-term programs with major customers (distributors and end-users) consistent with company policies.• Maintain contact with key personnel of assigned current and potential distributors including Management, Sales, Purchasing, Accounting, Warehousing, etc, to build relationships and communicate important information relating to operating procedures and policies, and expand business opportunities.• Assist distributors and end-user customers in problem resolution.• Train and motivate Distributor Sales Representatives to sell GP products.• Developed marketing budgets for all distributors and brokerage companies in an effort to reduce overall trade spending.• Assist in training and development of new sales representatives in district.• Participate in task force and special projects.
