About Colette Crone

I am fully committed to advancing in the Marine Science conservation efforts. I graduated from Florida Southern College in 2019 with a double major in Marine Biology and Environmental Science. I then earned a Master\'s degree in Marine Science from Jacksonville University in 2022, further solidifying my expertise in various professional pathways.In 2021, I started my roles in customer success and project management in two sectors. To further my experience in both of these skill sets, I founded a non-profit organization in marine turtle conservation in response to the challenges posed by the pandemic to further demonstrate my initiative and dedication to making a positive impact. Working under this organization has allowed me to enhance my project management capabilities but also to learn successful people management and supervisory skills to successfully train over thirty volunteers. This experience has empowered me to lead impactful conservation initiatives while effectively tracking milestones and driving successful outcomes.In addition, I was certified in project management in 2022 via the University of South Florida. This certification has allowed me to excel as a project coordinator in the biotechnology sector, honing my leadership, finance, organizational skills, and customer success skills. Within this role, I have had several opportunities to branch out to surrounding departments to master additional skills for budget analysis, forecasting, and accounting.As of September 2025, I am currently enrolled in USF’s Human Resources Management Certificate program to strengthen my ability to lead with strategy, compliance, and a people-centered practice.
