About Cole Dyar
I\'ve spent 13 years building behavioral health programs from the inside and ground floor. Not advising from the outside — running them and working within them. Hiring teams, designing clinical systems, managing crises at 2am, and fighting for every authorization. I co-founded Neurish Wellness and serve as Executive Director, leading operations across multiple residential treatment facilities under a ~300 person behavioral health network umbrella. I also lead our Virtual IOP program. Before that, I spent 7 years at Southern California Recovery Centers — from Operations Manager to Clinical Case Manager to Program Director — and served as Executive Director of Operations for a crisis stabilization program where we designed and built the system with an incredible team. What I\'ve built across that arc: → PSP™ — the Psychosis Safety Protocol. A five-level crisis response framework developed from doctoral research, now archived in the EAPA Digital Archive at the University of Maryland Baltimore. Peer-reviewed. Designed to give staff a structured system when clinical judgment alone isn\'t enough. → A measurement-based care infrastructure tracking PHQ-9, GAD-7, BAM-R, PCL-5, and C-SSRS across every patient at every facility — because \"we feel like they\'re getting better\" doesn\'t survive a payor audit. → Clinical program design across residential, PHP, IOP, and virtual IOP levels of care — building treatment models from scratch and standardizing quality across multiple facilities without losing what makes each program work. → Direct crisis training delivery as a CPI Instructor (NCI Advanced, Mental Health Training) and QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Instructor — designing and running the staff education programs that prepare teams for the moments that matter most. I hold a Doctorate in Marriage & Family Therapy (Systemic Administration & Entrepreneurship), an MS in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, and a BA in Sociology from UC Santa Cruz. I\'m a Licensed Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor, Certified Employee Assistance Professional, CPI Instructor (NCI Advanced, Mental Health Training), and QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Instructor. I\'m deeply interested in where clinical systems, technology, and AI intersect — and I\'m actively exploring how AI can strengthen the work that behavioral health teams do every day.
