ABOUT COLE MERO

I am a passionate aerospace engineer working as a test engineer at Isar Aerospace as an AIT and launch operations engineer. With 13 orbital launch campaigns of experience across 3 continents and 2 different launch systems, I am building my expertise in the orbital rocket space. The thing which excites me more than anything else is a challenge. This has lead to many of my academic, extracurricular, and life decisions, turning me into a life long learner, passionate about accomplishing the most daunting and challenging technical tasks. Examples of this include my decision to pursue an undergraduate degree in Engineering Physics, and Master’s in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University, working with nationally acclaimed researchers in both the nuclear energy and aerospace industries, becoming a wildland firefighter, and joining the Queen\'s Rocket Engineering Team to build and launch advanced sounding rockets at the International Rocket Engineering Competition. It is my dream to bring my technical skills and passion for life with me everywhere I go and share these values with like minded people to accomplish the impossible. Whether that be putting humans on Mars or making a breakthrough in nuclear fusion to solve the world\'s energy and environmental crises, I know I will enjoy the challenge and process of making these dreams a reality.
