I assist Dr. Ming Ye in a research project exploring the use of Moringa oleifera functionalized sand (F-sand) filters to remove nitrate and phosphate from urban lakes across Florida. In this role, I pursue field operations by organizing and conducting water sampling, carrying out sand installation, collection, and removal, and training team members in proper field procedures and data collection techniques. Beyond fieldwork, I conduct literature reviews of peer-reviewed studies, contribute to scientific writing, and help synthesize our findings into educational resources designed to make the research publicly accessible and promote environmental awareness.
