About Cole Aansen

I also teach private one-on-one literacy intervention online using the Orton-Gillingham (OG) approach to students with language-related learning differences. After assessing a student\'s needs, I follow the OG sequence of phonological concepts to both fill in gaps and teach students new concepts. I focus on phonetic words, non-phonetic \"red words,\" decoding multisyllabic words, and reading fluency. For older and/or more advanced students, I also incorporate writing composition and the study of Greek and Latin roots.
