September 11, 2001 was a time when companies providing patient tracking software were focused on patients after arrival at the hospital and not from the point of initial contact. As triage methodologies and best practices evolved following 9/11, so did the need for recording and sharing information throughout the patient lifecycle – from triage at the incident scene, to transport to the care facility, and discharge of the patient. This need led to the development of the GER flagship product HC Suite®. GER has steadily grown its business and evolved its offerings as organizations look to find a flexible, real-time situation awareness platform that allows them to comply with Emergency Support Function 8.
