Throughout the internship, I will manage the end-to-end leasing process. This includes conducting property readiness checks, preparing leasing agreements, and managing the collection, interpretation, and filing of financial documents such as rent checks. I will use Excel and other software tools to analyze and record financial data, giving me practical experience with systems and documentation that are standard in finance-related roles.In addition to leasing and administrative tasks, I will be actively involved in business development and marketing. I will work with the team to brainstorm and implement new outreach strategies aimed at attracting potential tenants and growing the company\'s client base. This component of the internship offers valuable insight into client relationship management and strategic planning—skills that are applicable across many business disciplines.Another key aspect of my role will involve direct sales through property showings. I will meet with prospective tenants on-site to showcase properties, highlight features that meet their needs, and ultimately close leasing agreements. This requires strong interpersonal communication, consultative sales skills, and the ability to match client needs with available properties—all of which are essential in both real estate and broader business careers.Additionally, one of the major projects I will undertake is identifying potential investment property opportunities. This will involve forecasting financial performance and evaluating properties using key investment metrics such as Cash on Cash returns, and Cap rate. I’ll use these financial ratios, along with market trend analysis and future value projections, to assess whether properties are worth pursuing. This type of strategic evaluation mirrors the responsibilities of analysts and entry-level professionals in both investment and real estate firms.
