Financial institutions generate enormous amounts of data. Most of it sits unused. I build the systems, frameworks, and teams that turn it into decisions.I\'m a Senior Analytics Manager at Scotiabank, leading data analytics for Global Wealth and Insurance Audit. My work spans designing and executing audit testing using SQL, Python, Alteryx, and Power BI, while driving how the audit function evolves in a data-first environment.Prior to Scotiabank, I built fraud reporting at RBC, and consulted on audit analytics for major financial institution clients at Deloitte. Across all of it, the through-line has been the same, taking fragmented, manual processes and rebuilding them into scalable, insight-driven systems.I also teach Data Analytics at the University of Waterloo, covering data extraction, AI, machine learning, and NLP. Beyond the technical side, I have a passion in AI ethics and risk, particularly how financial institutions should be thinking about responsible AI deployment and governance as these tools become embedded in critical decisions.My background sits at the intersection of financial domain knowledge, hands-on technical work, and the ability to communicate findings to a wide range of stakeholders.
