About Cody R. Morcom

Maj Cody R. Morcom is the Outpatient Pharmacy Element Chief, 60th Medical Diagnostics and Therapeutics Squadron, 60th Medical Group, Travis Air Force Base, California. He leads 31 personnel in delivering a $34.6 million annual budget to beneficiaries, executing prescriptions each year in support of the Air Force’s largest medical center in the continental United States which handles more than patient encounters annually. Maj Morcom synchronizes with seven squadrons encompassing 2,500 staff and 450 medical providers, supporting comprehensive community and referral healthcare, aeromedical evacuation and staging, deployable medical readiness, education, research, and teleradiology services. The medical group also supports DoD/VA joint ventures. He also leads chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear medical readiness for two Wings and sixty-seven units as the Alternate Pharmacy Home Station Medical Response Team Chief, aiding delivery of medical assets in various mission critical and contingency situations. Maj Morcom also leads the 60th Medical Group’s Combat Service Support Team as the Officer-in-Charge, providing strategic medical guidance to the 22d Air Task Force in demonstrating and evaluating capabilities to generate, employ, and sustain Command & Control and Base Operations Support functions globally.He received a direct commission to the United States Air Force in December 2018 through the Health Professions Scholarship Program while attending Wilkes University’s Nesbitt School of Pharmacy in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. He graduated with his Doctor of Pharmacy in May 2020. Prior to his current position, the major served as the Chief, Satellite Pharmacy, 60th Medical Group, Travis Air Force Base, California.
