The Coining business unit manufactures solder preforms, micro-stampings, and bonding wire/ribbon for the microelectronics, automotive, RF, and medical device industries.My role: Experienced continuous improvement manager with a track record of driving operational excellence and cost savings in manufacturing environments.Responsibilities:• Serve on the plant Safety Committee and act as a safety champion, promoting an injury‑free workplace through near‑miss reporting, corrective action follow‑up, and continuous improvement initiatives.• Oversee OpEx, CapEx, and production planning activities for the Montvale plant with four direct reports.• Manage OpEx budget, tracking improvement projects saving over $800K per year.• Lead CapEx budget and approval process for new capital projects exceeding $1M per year.• Conduct lean assessments, mentor OpEx Black Belts, and facilitate strategy deployment.• Founded the Quality Circle program, resulting in $95K per year in shop floor savings.• Lead strategic manufacturing planning and procurement initiatives; optimize scheduling processes for enhanced operational efficiency.• Coach shop floor on kaizen/DMAIC methodology and spearhead 5S projects.• Establish daily management processes on the shop floor, including tier meetings and leader standard work.• Maintain business continuity plans and business impact analyses with a cross-functional team and robust recovery strategy.• Support ISO 9001 conformance through SOPs, equipment qualifications, and training.
