About Cody Moreland
I’m an operator at heart, energized by building high-performing teams, scaling operations, and solving hard problems. Over the last decade, I’ve led fulfillment and logistics operations across every stage of growth—from scaling fast-paced startups like Deliverr/Shopify, end to end supply chains like Flexport, and complex, high-volume operations at Amazon.Currently, I lead Flexport’s fulfillment network—including FCs, cross docks, and sort centers—along with the support teams that power them, account management, customer support, strategic initiatives, S & OP, MHE/construction, and startup/launch. My focus is simple: deliver best-in-class performance for our merchants while driving cost efficiency, product expansion, and operational excellence at scale.Throughout my career, I’ve: • Led the construction, design, launch, and operation of 8 fulfillment centers over 1M sq. ft. each • Transitioned Flexport’s fulfillment business from a 3PL model to fully owned and operated (1P) • Reduced warehouse costs by 50%, delivering $100M+ in annual savings • Took over final and middle mile strategy, improving OTD while reducing transportation costs by over $100M • Built and rebuilt orgs—account management, customer support, S & OP—to drive stronger performance and retentionI’ve worked across Amazon, Deliverr, Shopify, and Flexport—each giving me a different lens on fulfillment, automation, customer experience, and what it takes to make operations hum.
