ABOUT CODY MESSER

I am an Animal Science and International Agriculture student at Iowa State University with a deep-rooted passion for the livestock industry and the future of American agriculture. Agriculture is more than an industry to me — it’s a responsibility to lead, innovate, and advocate for the producers who feed the world.My background spans hands-on livestock production, statewide leadership, agricultural education, and event management. As a former Iowa FFA State Officer representing over members, I had the privilege of planning large-scale leadership conferences, facilitating workshops, and building partnerships that strengthened agricultural education across the state. Through 4-H, livestock judging, and years in the show ring, I developed not only technical livestock knowledge but also discipline, resilience, and competitive excellence.Professionally, I have gained experience through roles with Des Moines County Extension and Summit Agricultural Group as a Swine Production Intern. These opportunities have strengthened my understanding of production systems, producer communication, and the business side of livestock operations.My mission is to bridge the gap between producer and consumer by promoting transparency, innovation, and strong leadership within agriculture. I am driven to help build a future where agriculture remains profitable, progressive, and respected — and where the next generation is empowered to lead it forward.
