About Cody Grooms

A highly driven designer, Cody believes, first and foremost, that design should be rooted in a meaningful way to better shape our environments for everyone; continuously seeking to create authentic, mindful, and sustainable projects that uniquely respond to the needs of people and place. Good design can be inspiring to all people in a daily and practical way, with every project acting as a medium for tangible interaction. A recognized team leader, he has been responsible for envisioning, designing and delivering projects through strong communication skills, a flexible attitude, ability to solve problems creatively and foster effective client relationships. He engages clients, projects, and teams with a genuine passion for what he does and those who benefit. A self-starter and hungry for the profession, Cody has set himself apart from peers through his tenure with diverse firm experience.In 2018, Cody received a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tennessee, with time also spent studying at Aalto University in Espoo Finland. While attending, he received many honors and awards, including recognition by The Museum of Finnish Architecture, as well as participation in the 58th Presidential Inauguration. He took part in design studios that produced projects across the U.S. and abroad. Mr. Grooms was also an active member of the Pride of the Southland Marching Band, Army ROTC, and other student organizations during his undergraduate career.Mr. Grooms is a Registered Architect in Tennessee with the ability to acquire reciprocal licensure (NCARB) and is an active member of the American Institute of Architects. He will soon be pursuing certifications such as LEED, WELL, CDT and others.
