About Cody Gibbens

I’m an Associate Principal at STAND Structural Engineering, where I focus on leading complex projects, developing teams, and helping drive the firm’s continued growth. Over the past decade, I’ve led the design and delivery of commercial, hospitality, multi-family, and entertainment projects across the country, including the Jayhawk Welcome Center, Asteri Ithaca, Margaritaville Kansas City, and the Morton Amphitheater. My work on Asteri Ithaca was featured in STRUCTURE Magazine, and I’ve helped support long-term client relationships that have resulted in the delivery of over 150 Chipotle locations nationwide. I enjoy stepping into challenging situations, aligning teams, and pushing projects forward with clear direction and accountability. I’m also focused on improving internal systems and developing people to help the organization scale. Outside of STAND, I’m involved with the Structural Engineers Association of Kansas and Missouri (SEAKM), where I currently serve in a leadership role.
