   Mr. Fleece has 28 years of experience in the field of aquatic ecology and has consulted state, federal, and local governments, hydroelectric utilities, shellfish growers, watershed planning groups, military installations, and non-governmental organizations. In recent years Mr. Fleece’s work has focused on ecological assessment and diagnostic studies, regulatory compliance and permitting, ecological restoration, and adaptive management. His project work includes stream and lake habitat assessments, fish passage-barrier assessments, quantitative assessment of the relationship between stream flow and habitat suitability for aquatic species, habitat modeling, watershed planning, endangered species conservation, and fish, freshwater mussel, and amphibian surveys. Mr. Fleece has consulted on projects throughout the United States from Alaska to California, Alabama to Ohio. He is authorized by the Federal government to survey for Federally listed fish and freshwater mussels and has held state-collecting permits in Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, North Carolina, California, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska.
