About Code Wellness
Vanessa M. Kennedy is the founder & CEO of Code 1 Wellness. Ms. Kennedy began her career in the medical field at the age of 18, working in various medical facilities. In 2009 Ms. Kennedy graduated from the Police Academy and started working as a Law Enforcement Officer for 10 years and is still an active officer today. Since the beginning, Ms. Kennedy has been deeply interested in the CIT (Crisis Intervention Team) Training and Officer Wellness. Ms. Kennedy always had a deep interest in mental health. The passion for officer wellness was exhibited by the hard work she has put into creating Code 1 Wellness. Ms. Kennedy founded Code 1 Wellness which is in the business of mental health, wellness, and our public servants. The operations of Code 1 Wellness are rapidly growing quickly within the Greater Kansas City Communities. Ms. Kennedy believes that “We are here to protect those who protect others”. –Vanessa Kennedy Ms. Kennedy launched Code 1 Wellness in May 2018 when her dream became reality. Since Code 1 Wellness has been launched, the amount of response from heartfelt individuals has been overwhelming and a massive support for our organization. Passionate about mental health, wellness, and our public servants, Ms. Kennedy has a thirst for knowledge and continues to exceed the expectations of her fellow peers. Ms. Kennedy continues to stay at the cutting edge of mental health, in both wellness and our public servants.
